Sometimes we see a really nice plaque (maybe a bronze plaque or an aluminum plaque) advertising a business and the thought hits us… Why did this place choose to use a plaque? Why did they not use some other promotional tool, like dimensional sign letters or something? There has to be a reason… actually, there is often not much reason or logic in use when people choose plaques or sign letters… they are often using emotion.
Plaques are great for small, up close and personal advertising that communicates longivity (unless its a bank
or similar institution) and portrays an atmosphere of trust… boy, the current situation in the economy is really shooting this post out of the water!
High quality sign letters are great for viewing at a greater distance and likewise communicate based upon what appearance they project. Really nice brass letters or bronze letters with a high quality finish simply shouts quality from the sign and about the company (even if the truth is sometimes far from it).
Check out some of these great sign letters and see what you think.

Bronze Plaques
These bronze plaques available nowadays are really some classy works of art… and the art often comes from the person being remembered by the memorial plaque! They are called by names like “Image-Cast” and “Living Memories” which pretty well describes what they are all about. The bronze photo plaque is basically turned into a mini photo album creating a really cool memory plaque.
Another way these cool bronze plaques can be used is by businesses, something besides text and a flat logo… using images of products or a service being performed. The way these bronze plaques can be decorated is really just limited by the photos sent into the art department!
Just thought you might think these are as cool as I do!

When it comes to sharing a memorial message or simply displaying a high quality image for a business (by using a bronze plaque as a business sign), you are pretty hard pressed to find a more elegant or a more distinguished method than by using a well designed bronze plaque.
Many times the bronze plaque itself is not noticed… that is, the message is communicated (high class, quality, long lasting value, elegance, etc.) without the method of communication (the bronze plaque) being brought to the forefront. It is more of a subliminal communication, but wow! … what a powerful message is spoken!
Next time you need to say, “high quality” … say it with a bronze plaque.

Well, at least the bronze memorial of the firefighter pictured here. Naturally, we understand that a bronze memorial statue cannot pray to the True and Living Creator God like we humans can. But we can still seek the gracious pouring out of the blessings of our God, and be careful to thank Him in return as He showers upon us more than we would ever deserve.
Often during our lives we find ourselves looking for answers to difficult questions. Sometimes the answers do not seem to come soon enough, if at all. Many times our hearts seem as though they will burst from the load we are being asked to carry. Our wonderful God and Savior knows these burdens… He has ordained them and allowed them to be set in place for His express purposes, all good purposes. We should simply do as this bronze memorial statue of a man has frozen in time for us to consider… we should simply kneel before the Creator of all things and the King of the Universe. Surrender our will, our desires, our dreams, our selves to the God who owns them anyway… allowing Him to rule our hearts by our free choice.
This memorial is a great reminder… let’s remember to pray to the One who can help.

First Memorial Plaque
Memorial Plaque
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Memorial Plaque was issued after the First World War to the next-of-kin of all British and Empire (now Commonwealth) service personnel who lost their lives as a result of the war. It was of Bronze, and hence popularly known as the “Dead Man’s Penny”, due to the similarity to the penny coin.
Description
The plaques, of about 5 inches (120 mm) in diameter and cast in bronze, were designed by the eminent sculptor and medallist, Edward Carter Preston. The plaque had the name of the deceased, but no rank, to show equality of sacrifice.
It was issued in a pack with a commemorative scroll from King George V; though sometimes the letter and scroll was sent first.
Manufacture
An estimated 1,150,000 plaques were issued. They were made at a factory at Acton from 1919, then at the Royal Arsenal, Woolwich from December 1920. The name of the deceased was cast in raised letters on a raised rectangle during the casting process.
